Teacher of Modern Foreign Languages job summary
Required from September 2021: an effective linguist capable of offering French with either German or Spanish, to join an enthusiastic and supportive team. We are looking for a colleague who will be positive and flexible, someone who is able to motivate and inspire students in order to raise attainment.
The school is oversubscribed and enjoys a considerable reputation in the local area for its academic excellence and caring ethos. In December 2016, Ofsted described the way in which the school promotes students’ personal development and its work to support students as outstanding.
Ofsted also identified “a culture of academic excellence” which is consistently reflected in the school’s GCSE results.
There is a strong culture of teaching and learning in the school and staff value highly the continuing professional development and research opportunities available. Ofsted praised the “good opportunities for staff to develop professionally” and commented that “staff are highly positive about the training they receive.” In addition they reported that “newly qualified teachers speak effusively about the support they receive.”
