What skills and experience we're looking for
The Governors seek to appoint a well-qualified, Linguist with a dynamic and innovative approach to modern language teaching. The ideal candidate must be able to teach Spanish to GCSE level, an ability to teach French or German at KS3 would also be beneficial. The Modern Foreign Language department has 9 staff. French, Spanish and German are taught across all year groups and Latin is taught for 10 weeks in year 7. The ability to teach Latin is desirable but not essential. Latin is taught at GCSE level. Exam results are consistently excellent and the department is friendly, supportive and positive with an ethos of innovation and challenge.
This would be an ideal opportunity for either an experienced practitioner or for an Early Careers Teacher newly qualified teacher.
