Teacher of Modern Foreign Languages - Spanish with some French job summary
We are seeking to appoint, from September 2022, a dynamic teacher of Languages. The role is predominantly teaching Spanish with some French classes. The successful candidate will teach languages to GCSE and the ability to teach at KS5 would be an advantage. We are looking for an excellent classroom practitioner that can bring ideas, energy and enthusiasm to the role. They will be fully involved in departmental development, target setting and evaluation of student progress and will possess the following attributes:
An outstanding classroom practitioner
Highly developed inter-personal skills
High expectations for student achievement

Hours: Full-time or 0.8 FTE
We have been graded ‘good’ following our latest SIAMS inspection (March 2020). “The academy is highly inclusive, and tireless in supporting all of its pupils and staff. Because of this, each person is known, nurtured and inspired. This enables them to make strong progress from their starting points”. Our OFSTED inspection in February 2017 also judged the school as ‘good’ in all categories.

Chiltern Hills Academy is a Church of England, co-educational secondary school in Chesham, Buckinghamshire. There are circa 1025 students on the school roll, approximately 100 of whom study in the sixth form. Chiltern Hills Academy converted to academy status in 2011 and is jointly sponsored by the Diocese of Oxford and Buckinghamshire County Council.
We are situated in the market town of Chesham, Buckinghamshire in the Chiltern Hills, designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Situated close to the M40 and the M25, Chesham is on the end of Metropolitan line of the London Underground and is 28 miles north-west of London. There is ample parking on-site.
