Working with Leigh Academies Trust: As of September 2019, our Trust is comprised of 25 geographically organised academies (11 secondaries, 13 primaries and 1 special) educating over 15,000 students, and employing over 2,500 talented staff. We also have three further academies in development phase, due to open between September 2020-2021. The Trust is establishing four ‘clusters’ of academies: North West Kent; Central Kent; South East London; Medway. In addition, the Trust is responsible for one of the region’s biggest initial teaching training providers and a large teaching school.

Teacher of Music job summary

About the role: Mascalls Academy has a rare and exciting opportunity to appoint an enthusiastic, motivated and engaging Teacher of Music who has scope to lead the subject area. Joining us on a permanent, full-time basis, you will be part of our highly collaborative and dynamic team delivering this subject. We would like the successful candidate to join us after September 2020, therefore encourage early applications. Music is thriving at Mascalls Academy; we have a cohort of over 40 students in Key Stage 4 and 15 Key Stage 5 students who we see flourish year on year when being taught by a passionate and engaging teacher. We offer both GCSE and BTEC for Key Stage 4 students
In Key Stage 5 students study the RSL vocational course
