What skills and experience we're looking for
We are seeking to appoint a dynamic classroom practitioner who displays the character, enthusiasm and energy to help us to grow our performing arts provision at Ribblesdale School. The Performing Arts Department at Ribblesdale is at an exciting time in its development, as we seek to raise the profile of the arts and enhance the creative opportunities available to all our pupils.
The Performing Arts Department enjoys a wealth of superb facilities including two large performing spaces (one of which is a brand new, purpose-built multi-activity studio), two dedicated classrooms and two peripatetic practice rooms. Members of our Performing Arts Department are unapologetically ambitious and consistently explore the latest educational research to inform and refine their curriculum and pedagogy, using new ideas and strategies alongside effective and well-established teaching and learning methodology.
As a key member of our team, you will be expected to have experience of teaching both music and
performing arts at Key Stage 3 and, ideally, at Key Stage 4. We want a teacher who shares our ambitious
approach to teaching and learning, and strives to achieve excellent results and maximise pupil progress.
We have high aspirations for all our learners and aim to support our pupils in becoming independent,
self-regulating learners who are confident, adept performers with a life-long love of learning.
