What the school offers its staff
Ladybridge High School is a warm, friendly and successful school with a clear mission and agreed beliefs that are shared across the school community. We are focused on achieving strong academic outcomes through a rounded education that prepares our learners for life. We are committed to our ‘Trivium’ approach to education, which is summarised on our school website.
The wonderfully diverse population of learners, the emphasis on professional learning for staff and the friendly atmosphere make Ladybridge an interesting and enjoyable place to work. We aspire to be an ‘evidence-informed’ school where teachers are encouraged to read, research, collaborate and take calculated risks in the classroom.
All teaching staff at Ladybridge have a generous allocation of non-contact time: typically 20%, which is double the legal minimum requirement. This ensures that our staff have the time to carry out their role to the highest possible standard, whilst having a genuine work-life balance.
This post is suitable for ECTs and experienced teachers.
Further details about the role
Our Music Department is well resourced with a ‘live music’ room containing a wide range of instruments and a technology suite with Apple Mac computers and Ableton Push devices. We have a strong belief in learning music practically and have fully embedded the Musical Futures philosophy to all our schemes of learning. Our Drama department is also well supported, offering a range of performance opportunities for learners. As a result, this is a popular option at key stage four for our learners.
Interested colleagues should complete an application form and submit with a letter of application to outline how your experiences to date prepare you for this role.
Shortlisting will take place on Wednesday 21st June
Interviews will take place on Monday 26th June
