Saltley Academy is looking to appoint an outstanding Teacher of Music, who is ready to make a significant impact in a successful department, housed within a purpose built Arts Centre. The successful candidate will be joining a well-led and successful team, committed to providing a quality experience for our students and ensuring that they achieve their full potential. They will be joining an Academy and a Multi Academy Trust committed to their professional development and to supporting them to achieve the best with our young people, with the Arts playing a central role in the life of the Academy and the Trust.

We are looking for an outstanding teacher with:

  • Ambition and high expectations to transform the lives of young people
  • A passionate belief in collaboration and teamwork
  • A student-centred approach to problem solving
  • A clear understanding of how to engage students and maximise progress

  • A relentless commitment to achievement for all.

Saltley Academy is a 11-16 comprehensive school in the heart of multi-cultural Birmingham. The Academy was also recently re-awarded the UNICEF Rights Respecting School Gold Award.

You will be joining a growing Arts Faculty that encompasses Drama, Music, Art and Photography. Uptake at GCSE level for these subjects has been steadily rising, requiring recruitment in September to meet the needs of the curriculum.
