GCSE and A-Level uptake is strong with the courses developing the musical skills and interests of students; enabling students to understand and appreciate a range of different kinds of music, across a multitude of cultures and genres.

In KS3, all students follow a programme which provides an introduction to music including the elements such as rhythm, pitch and tempo. There is a strong emphasis on music that is relevant to young people including film music, blues and pop music with pupils undertaking performance and composition tasks in each lesson.

GCSE and A-level students follow the Edexcel specification. We run a three year GCSE course, with students being given ample performance and recording opportunities to mature as musicians during this time.
