We seek to appoint an exceptional and inspirational music teacher who would rise to the challenge of teaching in a high performing Creative Faculty.
You will be an excellent and enthusiastic practitioner who is able to inspire students to engage and achieve. You will be part of a team developing your skills, enabling students to progress and to reach their goals.
The music department is responsible for delivering Music to all students at KS3, and a significant number at KS4. In the last two years, there has been a considerable uptake at GCSE Music.
The department offers an innovative environment in which to develop teaching and learning strategies and raise the standards achieved by students. The music department has one dedicated classroom, which is equipped with keyboards, computers and specialist music software and two further practice rooms.

Essential educational requirements
An appropriate degree / relevant qualifications or experience with an ability to teach up to KS4 GCSE AQA Music
Qualified Teacher Status
Essential skills and experience
Teaching Music across KS3 and KS4 including planning, preparation & marking in line with AQA exam board syllabus.
Use of ICT in the classroom including music software - Sibelius & MuseScore.
Knowledge & Understanding -
Secure knowledge of the developments in the Music curriculum
Knowledge and understanding of the requirements of high quality teaching/pedagogy including AFL.
Thorough knowledge of subject area.
Teaching and Learning -
Commitment to raising achievement across a key stage.
Willingness to learn, develop and share skills
High expectations of all pupils.
Ability to engage and motivate pupils.
Ability to deploy behaviour management strategies effectively.
