The successful candidate should have Qualified Teacher Status, have up-to-date knowledge of developments in Music, knowledge of music technology and sequencing packages and be an excellent classroom practitioner. The post would equally suit an Early Careers Teacher or experienced teacher.

What the school offers its staff

This is an exciting time to be joining our Academy as we seek additional teachers to meet rapidly increasing student numbers. Paignton Academy is undergoing rapid improvement. Within the Academy two capital projects costing in excess of £4 million pounds have just been completed. The Academy has also recently undergone a superb transformation in September 2019 to facilitate students in years 7 to 11 across two sites.

The Academy provides high quality professional development opportunities at all stages of teacher development. These range from our extensive ECT programme through to Leadership progression opportunities within Paignton and across the Trust.

The Academy is situated in Torbay and is part of the beautiful English Riviera. It is within easy reach of stunning beaches with golden sands, rolling countryside and Dartmoor.
