What the school offers its staff
The school is oversubscribed and enjoys a considerable reputation in the local area for its academic excellence and caring ethos. Ofsted identified “a culture of academic excellence” which is consistently reflected in the school’s GCSE results. Our students from the Class of 2022 achieved the best results the school has ever seen and we are looking to continue the trend of increasing success we have enjoyed over the past 5 years. Ofsted also described the way in which the school promotes students’ personal development and its work to support students as “outstanding”.
There is a strong culture of teaching and learning in the school and staff value highly the continuing professional development and research opportunities available. Ofsted praised the “good opportunities for staff to develop professionally” and commented that “staff are highly positive about the training they receive.” In addition, they reported that “newly qualified teachers speak effusively about the support they receive.”
There are varied opportunities for career progression for staff at all levels.
