Cromer Academy is seeking an inspiring, innovative and dedicated teacher of PE and Geography to join our team; a teacher who shares our belief that all pupils have the right to succeed and have access to the very best education.
We are looking for a talented teacher who can contribute to our PE and Geography departments. The job is a large majority of PE but there will be some Geography teaching for the successful candidate.
We have had significant investment into our PE facilities in the last 18 months, including a re-developed sports hall, new netball courts and a state of the art gym due to open in late February. PE is a massively popular subject at Cromer Academy, including large numbers selecting it at Key Stage 4. The department has grown in size, and this new position is due to the popularity of the subject. The department also benefits from having its own sports coach, who acts as a technician and TA support in lessons.
The successful candidate will be required to deliver a broad, balanced, and inclusive curriculum for students and to support the PE and Geography curriculum areas. You will monitor and support overall progress and development of students and contribute to raising standards and student attainment. You must be able to enthuse, engage, motivate, and challenge pupils to raise achievement at all levels.
Cromer Academy is a community school in its truest sense: it is at the heart of the area it serves, and is ambitious and determined for its young people. The academy is in easy reach of some of the most spectacular beaches and countryside in the UK, but this is no sleepy rural school. We are rated Good by Ofsted with Outstanding ratings for leadership and management, and for personal development, behaviour and welfare.
We are part of the Inspiration Trust, twice ranked as the country’s top family of comprehensive schools for pupil progress to GCSE, and work closely with our fellow schools across the region. We are committed to offering excellent professional and learning opportunities for our staff.

Candidates are welcome to arrange a visit to the school and this is highly encouraged. Please contact Vicki Bumphrey (PA to the Principal) on vickibumphrey@inspirationtrust.org, to arrange this.
