To start from 1st September, 2020 we are looking for an exceptional Physical Education teacher who will inspire and motivate students in this high performing boys’ secondary school and mixed Sixth Form.
The post is a fixed term contract initially but has the potential to be made permanent.
The successful candidate will be joining a well-established, supportive and committed team providing the very best in Physical Education and Sports Science to all. We are seeking a visionary, creative and energetic team player who will inspire our students to engage and develop a life-long passion for physical activity. The successful candidate will be confident at teaching across all key stages including A Level, GCSE and OCR Cambridge Technicals (Levels 2 and 3). The successful candidate will have to demonstrate an ability to deliver outstanding academic results and exemplary classroom practice.
Candidates should have demonstrable sporting specialisms in football, rugby and hockey with the ability to officiate. There is an expectation that all Physical Education staff will run after-school sports training sessions and support the school’s comprehensive programme of fixtures.
Sport plays a major role in the life of the School with significant success on both a local and national level. There is a vibrant extra-curricular life which, in addition to sport, includes music, drama, outdoor activities, debating and public speaking. A willingness to contribute will be a clear advantage.
