Teacher of PE (Fixed Term, Part Time) job summary
Priory is a very successful school, graded “Good” by OFSTED. The school is consistently oversubscribed yet has a genuinely comprehensive intake.
The Governors of this successful school seek to appoint a dynamic and innovative temporary female Teacher of PE, 0.6 FTE (3 days). 0.8 FTE could be offered if the candidate is able to offer History, Geography, RS and/ or PSHE.
The ability to offer high quality Sport lessons to KS3 and KS4 CORE will be required, as will the ability to demonstrate excellent theory knowledge. We are seeking to appoint someone that is fully committed to our busy extra-curricular programme, including clubs and fixtures. The post will involve teaching mixed gender and mixed ability groups.
The department is well-established and successful, delivering a broad and balanced National Curriculum programme across Key Stages 3 and 4. In Key Stage 4 the department currently offers GCSE PE (full course), and the Cambridge National Level 1/2 in Sports Studies.
The salary scale is Teacher Main/Upper Pay Scale to start September 2020 until August 2021.
