Teacher of PE & Head of Year job summary

We are seeking to appoint a dynamic individual to join our PE Department who can also hold a middle leadership position on our Pastoral team as Head of Year.

You will be joining a skilled, energetic and committed team so we are seeking an outstanding candidate who can continue to raise the quality of provision to enable the best possible outcomes for all of our students.

We are looking for an experienced, well qualified and inspirational classroom practitioner to join our PE Department.

As Head of Year, you will line manage a team of form tutors, who each have responsibility for a form group and co-ordination of their work will be an important part of your role. You will also line manage and work with a non-teaching Welfare Officer.

You will be responsible for the pastoral care, academic monitoring and an overview of interventions for your students.

The successful candidate must process a good attendance record and have high expectations of their students.
