About the role: Are you an inspiring Teacher of PE who is keen to start an exciting new role from January 2023? We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, motivated and engaging Teacher of PE to join us at Longfield Academy, who can deliver high-quality learning opportunities for our students in this curriculum area. The successful candidate will bring with them passion for this subject area with an overarching ability to engage our students. ​​​​​Applications are welcomed from both experienced and Early Career Teachers (ECTs) as we can offer fantastic professional development at every stage of a teacher’s career. ​​​​​​​​​​​​​​

Our successful candidate will join a highly motivated team of superbly collaborative teachers committed to a creative and stimulating approach to teaching and learning, instilling a passion for PE in our students. A passion and drive for running extra-curricular activities is essential!

The success candidate will be responsible for:

  • delivering GCSE and A Level Physical Education specification as set out by the examination board alongside IB-MYP at KS3
  • setting work that challenges and engages students, leading to good student progress in individual lessons and over time
  • monitoring standards of attainment, progress across classes - targeting key groups to develop strategies and intervention that supports good progress
  • contributing to the extra curricular activities at Longfield Academy.​​​​​​​
