The Role
We are seeking to appoint a well-qualified Teacher of PE to join our experienced team of teachers. The position is a maternity cover and would suit an experienced or newly qualified teacher.
The Governing Body is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share in this commitment. A disclosure/status check will be sought from the Disclosure and Barring Service for the successful candidate.
The role will involve: Carrying out the functions of a teacher in accordance with the Teacher Standards and the stated aims and objectives of The Stanway School and the Department.
We're looking for you if you have:
- Qualified Teacher Status.
- Ability to teach “outstanding” lessons in PE, including Netball, Basketball, Trampoline and Dance.
- Knowledge of the OCR GCSE PE and OCR National Sports Science courses would be beneficial.
- Experience of supporting staff and students in maintaining high standards.
- Commitment to safeguarding and child protection.
