What skills and experience we're looking for
We are looking to appoint a full time PE teacher from September 2024 or as soon as possible after that to join our highly successful team whose shared purpose is to inspire and challenge the young people at Noadswood. The team is experienced, successful, collaborative and supportive; the facilities are excellent and looked after brilliantly well.
It is commonplace to share resources and strategies freely, and to enjoy success with the students in a whole host of sports, within the school day, at fixtures, in clubs, in local, regional and national competitions and in spectacular events such as our Gym and Dance Show, Dance Live!, our Sports Day and regular events across the New Forest and Hampshire.
You would be welcomed warmly into the department and into the Noadswood family as a whole, joining our induction programme and rich professional development opportunities across our school and with others with whom we love to collaborate. We would also seek to support you in developing a second subject, playing to your strengths, and would discuss this at interview.
We are looking to appoint a candidate with the ability to ensure learners of all abilities make progress, achieve their full potential and develop a lifelong appreciation of sport, PE and a healthy lifestyle, both within the curriculum and within our enrichment programme in after school hours and on trips.
If you have energy, enthusiasm and a commitment to young people and their progress, we are positive you will fit in to our school. You can contact us by email: recruitment@noadswood.hants.sch.uk to discuss this post.
What the school offers its staff
What makes Noadswood a terrific community to be part of? Is it:

- Our House system, giving young people membership of a smaller communitywithin the school?
- Our drive for the best possible progress for all through research based teaching and learning?
- The way we listen to our students' and colleagues’ ideas for their wellbeing and their community, and bring them all to life?
- The care we have for our parent community, and their suggestions, views and concerns?
It's because of ALL of the above but overarching all of this, it's because we are a warm, welcoming school. We are passionate about educational excellence and to sustaining an honest, kind, inclusive community - we are strongly united on our very best days, at challenging times and at all points in between.
