Teacher of PE job summary

We are seeking to appoint dynamic individuals to work within our PE department. We have the equivalent of a 5-day-a-week position and a 3-day-a-week position to fill, due to internal promotion and a staff member re-locating.
Pinewood holds PE and outdoor education in high esteem and is committed to providing opportunities within the curriculum, extra-curriculum activities and through competition.
Pupils enjoy lessons, and behaviour for learning is generally of a high standard.
Experience of working within a Special School is not a
prerequisite for this position. Rather, an interest and enthusiasm for
developing within this exciting, challenging and rewarding area of education is
key.

Pinewood is a SEND Secondary School in Ware, Hertfordshire which provides education for students with a range of needs including Autism, Down’s Syndrome and other conditions that result in a developmental delay. We cater for roughly 200 pupils in School year 7 to 11. All our pupils have Education, Health and Care Plans.
