Teacher of PE job summary
We are seeking a well-qualified, committed Teacher of PE to join our lively, dedicated department. This is a full time, Maternity Cover position, which would suit an NQT or an experienced colleague. The PE department is committed and supportive, offering various courses and a very wide choice of extra-curricular opportunities across the age range 11 to 18.
We wish to recruit an effective professional who demonstrates thorough curriculum knowledge, can teach and assess effectively, take responsibility for professional development and has students who achieve well.
You need to be:
• A qualified teacher
We are looking for candidates who have:
• Extensive experience in netball and/or hockey
• Proven experience of teaching PE at KS3, KS4 with excellent classroom management skills
You will be:
• Able to communicate effectively at all levels
• Reliable, punctual and flexible
• A team player
• Committed to student achievement
• A dynamic individual who will engage, challenge and motivate our students

St Ivo is a large 11-18 comprehensive academy in the town of St Ives, Cambridgeshire. We have around 1750 students with around 300 in our Sixth Form.
