What skills and experience we're looking for

This is an exciting opportunity to join a small, but aspirational department. With just two members of staff the successful candidate will have the opportunity to teach all age groups and sports, plus our popular GCSE PE course. The department has a proud history of offering a wide range of extra curricular activities both at lunchtime and after school including residential ski trips, netball/football development tours and trips to international sports fixtures such as cricket T20, Wimbledon & Netball. The successful candidate would need to contribute to this offer. The school has excellent facilities including a sportshall, gym, astroturf and field.

This role would be suitable to all, but most likely is a chance for a colleague with some teaching experience who would like the opportunity to develop some autonomy and leadership skills in preparation for a middle leadership role in the future.

We aim to be a centre of excellence for learning and teaching, where all students achieve the highest standards in their education, their personal development, their behaviour and conduct. The Trust is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, therefore all applicants must be prepared to undergo a number of checks to confirm their suitability to work with children and young people. The Trust welcomes applications from all sectors of the community. In accordance with the Department of Education’s “Keeping Children Safe in Education”, references will be sought on all short-listed candidates before interview.
