What skills and experience we're looking for
Due to the expansion of the school, we are seeking to appoint a motivating and innovative PE Teacher to start with us in September 2024. Applications from ECTs are encouraged and welcome.
The PE department is well established and successful at TWGSB, with a strong tradition in co-curricular sport and particular strengths in football, rugby and athletics. PE is taught at GCSE and A Level. The department is located in a new PE teaching block, which was completed in January 2021 and boasts a five-court sports hall; in addition, we have an additional full size 3G pitch, and two further grass football pitches and one rugby pitch.
The successful applicant will be someone who can inspire students of all abilities and has a strong commitment to co-curricular sport. You must be passionate about developing pupils' confidence and leadership skills, as well as have strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to raising standards. The ability to teach both GCSE and A Level PE is essential. This is an excellent opportunity to join a committed and innovative team and take the next step in your teaching career.
