Job summary

Chiltern Hills Academy invites applications for the opportunity to join the staff of a successful, mixed 11-18 Church of England Academy. Based in the market town of Chesham, Buckinghamshire, we are located in the Chiltern Hills, an area of outstanding natural beauty conveniently situated at the end of the London Underground Metropolitan Line.

We are seeking to appoint, from September 2021, preferably a female, well-qualified, enthusiastic and passionate Teacher of PE who can also teach some Humanities. The successful applicant will largely teach PE and the remainder of the timetable will be split across Geography, History and PRE (Philosophy, Religion and Ethics). The PE Department plays a central role in the success of the school and provides extensive extra-curricular activities. The Humanities department embraces inquisitive learning with the aim of encouraging pupils to be critical, caring, creative and collaborative thinkers.

The successful candidate will be fully involved in departmental development, target setting and evaluation of student progress and will possess the following attributes:

-  Highly developed inter-personal skills
-  High expectations for student achievement
