Teacher of PE / Year Leader job summary
We are looking to appoint a Teacher of PE and Year Leader at Royton and Crompton E-ACT Academy. The purpose of this role is to develop, plan and deliver effective and high quality learning experiences for all students, ensuring progression is central to all lesson plans and giving our students the confidence to think big for themselves as they progress through our academy. In addition to their teaching role this member of staff will be Year Leader overseeing the general welfare, progress, behaviour and overall pastoral needs of students in a specified year group and to address pastoral needs of students who require assistance in overcoming barriers to learning in order to achieve their full potential.
Reporting to the Head of Faculty, this post holder will be accountable for:
- Apply a range of teaching strategies to deliver learning objectives and incorporate inclusive strategies that meet the needs of all learners.
- To lead on co-ordinating appropriate interventions for students in your year group whose attendance, behaviour or achievement is a concern
- Make effective use of a range of assessment monitoring and recording strategies to assess the learning needs of your students in order to set challenging learning objectives and plan for future teaching.
