What skills and experience we're looking for

We wish to appoint an exceptional Teacher of Performing Arts and Media to join our Upper Academy.

The successful candidate needs to be versatile and multi-faceted, with expertise across all aspects of Performing Arts, including production, live performance, stage, and screen.

Both experienced Teachers and ECT's are encouraged to apply.This is a unique opportunity to join a successful split-site academy as part of a supportive and expandingteam.

Salary £33,959— £51,984(M1 - AL3 Academy Qualified Teachers Scale)

Our academy operates across two sites.The Lower Academy specialises in the teaching of our Key Stage 3 students, whilst The Upper Academy specialises in teaching Key Stage 4 and 5.

You will be joining a small yet passionate Performing Arts team, and as part of the Creative Arts Department, you will have access to outstanding facilities, such as:

  • A rehearsal and recording space for practice and creative projects
  • A performance space featuring stage lighting for live productions
  • A fully-equipped photography studio, including professional lighting setups
  • A dark room for traditional photographic techniques
  • A dedicated ICT suite with the latest digital tools

Students also have access to industry-standard editing software, including the Adobe Suite, and a wide range of professional equipment, such as DSLR cameras, digital camcorders, microphones, and tripods.

The department boasts a team of highly trained, creative, and motivated practitioners, who work collaboratively to share and develop each other's specialisms through CPD. The team is also supported by a skilled group of technicians.
