Are you passionate about performing arts? Are you a dynamic, enthusiastic, creative teacher? If so, we want to hear from you.
We are looking for a passionate, innovative and inspiring Performing Arts teacher to join our thriving Creative Arts Faculty. We would be excited to hear from new and experienced Drama and/or Dance specialists who could contribute to the full spectrum of our curriculum and extra-curricular offer. This is an exciting opportunity to join our well regarded and resourced team who work hard to encourage, teach and develop in our students and informed and experienced passion for the Performing Arts building self confidence and self discipline.
The Faculty offers 2 fully equipped Drama studios, a specialist Dance studio, multiple rehearsal spaces and fully equipped performance hall. Students have dedicated weekly Performing Arts lessons at KS3 with the options of both Drama GCSE and Dance BTEC at KS4 and opportunity to take Performing Arts CTECH at KS5. Enthusiastic students mean that courses are historically very well subscribed to at KS4 and KS5. We also run Arts Award and LAMDA qualifications, take several trips a year to local, regional and national theatres and put on multiple public productions, showcases and performance evenings. Students have many chances to take part in workshops with professional practitioners with links with companies such as Royal Shakespeare Company, National Theatre, Splendid Theatre, Frantic Assembly and New Adventures. Many of our students go on to follow the Performing Arts at colleges and universities around the country and onwards into Performing Arts careers.
