Teacher of Performing Arts job summary

We are looking to appoint a talented and inspirational Teacher of Performing Arts.

We are seeking the skills of someone who can teach both Dance (KS3 and KS4) and some Music to Year 7 and 8. Both subject areas have a Curriculum Leader and the successful candidate will work alongside them both in the classroom and with extra-curricular activities.

The successful candidate will be creative and challenging in their teaching. They will be passionate and committed to ensuring students maximise their potential and achievement. We would expect the successful applicant to deliver extra-curricular provision and also contribute to larger events and productions.

The school has modern and well equipped Performing Arts spaces including, a dedicated Dance Studio with a high-quality sound system, A Drama Room and a Music Classroom and separate practice rooms with a large range of instruments.

This post would be suitable for colleagues currently paid on Main or Upper pay ranges and applications from Early Careers Teachers would also be very welcome. Any candidate applying directly from the PGCE, Schools Direct or SCITT will have the opportunity of starting work prior to the summer holiday.
