We are looking to appoint a dynamic, passionate and committed teacher of Personal Development to teach across Key Stage 3 and 4 and to contribute to the wider life of the school.
As a school, Sprowston is committed to developing the whole child and we have always had a coherent programme of Personal Development embedded within our curriculum. Since the introduction of statutory Relationships, Sex and Health Education, this provision has been further strengthened and students enjoy a comprehensive and relevant package of PSHE content and Citizenship. Students really value this provision and it is an important part of their curriculum experience.
As a school, Sprowston prides itself on being a vibrant and inclusive learning environment. We promote kindness and tolerance and we value and celebrate differences of all kinds. The successful candidate will play a significant role in modelling and supporting this ethos and supporting the development of SMSC within our school. The ability to contribute to extra-curricular activities such as student leadership, student voice, community engagement and charity projects would be an advantage.
Sprowston Community Academy is a growing 11-18 school serving the North-east of Norwich.
