Teacher of Philosophy, Religion and Ethics (PRE) job summary
We are seeking to appoint two enthusiastic, innovative PRE Teachers of the Hindu faith to join our highly successful PRE Department. The School will also keenly support unqualified teachers in achieving the Postgraduate Certificate in Education qualification and Qualified Teacher Status.
You will join our successful, friendly and creative team who enjoy an excellent reputation both within and beyond the school. The team is made up of a mixture of highly experienced and more recently qualified professionals. There is a great atmosphere of support and challenge within the team and as part of the wider school. If you are an effective practitioner with the ability to inspire and motivate students, we would like to hear from you.
You should be a practising Hindu who is enthusiastic and can promote a love and passion of learning, who supports faith life and the ethos of the school, and someone who has the creativity to deliver lessons that allow pupils to enjoy and flourish in this important subject area.
Candidates should have a passion and drive to deliver and engage students in their studying of PRE in KS3 and Religious Studies in KS4. The outstanding behaviour of our students truly gives you the opportunity to teach your subject and deliver exciting and engaging lessons.
The school has now moved to its new £25-million-pound building located in Stanmore, Wemborough Road HA7 2EQ. You will be able to teach in facilities that are up to date and at the cutting edge of technology. You will have your own classroom space dedicated to your subject enabling you to develop the very best teaching and learning practices. There are a full range of other facilities including; state of the art sports grounds and hall, performing arts suite and fantastic teaching rooms.

Avanti House secured outstanding outcomes both in terms of attainment and progress when its cohort of students sat their GCSE examinations in 2020. The school has always scored a progress 8 value of well above national average with students excelling at KS4 and KS5.
