Teacher of Philosophy, Religion and Ethics and responsibility for PSHE
Full Time – Main/upper pay scale and TLR 2C (£2873)
Required for September 2022
We are seeking to appoint a creative, inspirational and dedicated classroom practitioner to join the Humanities Faculty at this exciting time.
The role would suit an experienced RE or PRE teacher seeking a leadership position and would provide an opportunity to play a pivotal role in the continued development of PRE and PSHE within The Carlton Academy. The successful candidate would work as part of an experienced and supportive team of Humanities teachers and will be required to oversee the preparation and delivery of PSHE lessons throughout the Academy.
The successful candidate will also be highly committed to high academic standards, they will need to be confident in delivering a range of sensitive PSHE and RSE topics in an age-appropriate manner and to have a full appreciation of the importance of Personal, Social, Health and Economic Education.
The Carlton Academy is part of the Redhill Academy Trust. The Academy is also a member of Redhill College of Leadership and Development and as such there are excellent CPD opportunities and a chance to work alongside colleagues from other high-performing schools in the region. The Trust also leads the regional Teaching School Hub, delivering local teacher training and the National Professional Qualifications for teachers. The Carlton Academy became an academy, sponsored by The Redhill Academy Trust, in 2011.

This role involves daily contact and regulated activity with children. Successful candidates will be subject to an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check.
