What skills and experience we're looking for

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

• Degree level qualification in a related subject, or equivalent experience alongside QTS.

• Evidence of continuous INSET and commitment to further professional development

The Class Teacher should have experience of:

• Teaching in a secondary setting

• Experience teaching GCSE and A Level groups.

The Class Teacher should have knowledge and understanding of: knowledge-rich teaching;

the theory and practice of providing effectively for the individual needs of all students

the monitoring, assessment, recording and reporting of pupils’ progress;

the statutory requirements of legislation concerning Equal Opportunities, Health & Safety, SEND and Child Protection;

the positive links necessary within Academy and with all its stakeholders.

• Interest in running extra curricular activities, such as reading clubs.
