Teacher of Physical Educational 0.4 for one year in the first instance.
Additional days may be available for an appropriate candidate who is willing and able to teach in one or more of the following areas; English, Science, Humanities or Music

Beaumont Leys is a highly successful secondary school consistently rated as Good by Ofsted. Our Physical Health Faculty is forward looking and innovative with an excellent reputation for maximising individual student potential and is a strength within our school. It consists of 5 members of staff led by a Faculty Team Leader who is supported by an Assistant Faculty Team Leader. Last year BTEC Sport achieved 7 AA* and 79.5% A*-C whilst Health and Social Care achieved 19.5% AA* and 91% A*-C both from a cohort significantly below National Average on entry.
We believe in ‘going the extra mile’ to help support students and staff. All PE staff are expected to contribute to BLS Extra through running sports clubs, activities and teams.

Our internal promotion record is impressive, even our Head Teacher started with us as a NQT. We engage extensively with local ITT providers, including Teach First and Researchers into School, provide an excellent NQT support programme and run our own internal BLOTS programme for potential Beaumont Leys Outstanding Teachers. Beaumont Leys is a vibrant school, with a real heart and soul, where teaching and support staff at all levels are encouraged to develop their skills, and are given every opportunity to do so. The school, which was beautifully rebuilt in 2009, has been on a real journey over recent years and has developed an excellent reputation, locally, regionally and, increasingly, nationally.
Our last Ofsted was in September 2016 and we were really delighted that, under a much tougher Ofsted regime, the school was judged to have maintained it’s ‘Good’ grading.
