Teacher of Physical Education job summary

An excellent opportunity to teach in a very successful and forward thinking PE Department within a high performing school. The Department has a wide range of provision inclusive of primary, BTEC Sport, GCSE, A-Level and OCR Cambridge Technical. The PE Department is committed to providing an enriching experience to all pupils in the school and across our community of schools through its comprehensive extra-curricular, SGO and primary programme. The successful candidate will be expected to teach across this wide range of provision as well as contribute to the extra-curricular programme with commitment to clubs, trips and fixtures. GCSE results in 2019 were excellent with 92% of the cohort achieving a 4+ in GCSE. At A level 60% of students in 2019 achieved a grade C and above with a 100% pass rate.

Applicants will have had experience of teaching across the ability range at KS3 and KS4 and possibly KS5 and must be passionate, well organised, and hardworking, with high expectations of students and colleagues.
Successful candidates will be given the opportunity to develop teaching resources and other assessment materials. An ability to teach Post 16 is desirable but not essential. ECTs are welcome to apply.
