Teacher of Physical Education & Sport MPS/UPS (maternity cover)
Location: Otley
Contract: Full time, fixed term to cover maternity leave September 2021 to May 2022 or the return of the post-holder whichever is the sooner (this could be extended to enable an NQT appointment to complete their first year of induction)
We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, inspirational and committed teacher of Physical Education who is keen to motivate students, build their confidence and make learning engaging. This post would be suitable for an NQT or a more experienced colleague.
The successful candidate will have:
• The ability to teach KS3 and KS4 Core Physical Education, with an emphasis on teaching girls
• The ability to teach KS4 and KS5 examination PE desirable, but not essential
• Expertise in an A level area and/or Level 3 BTEC in Sport desirable, but not essential
• The ability to enthuse and motivate students
• A commitment to a range of extra-curricular activities throughout the year
• Excellent classroom management skills
• An appropriate degree for this post and secondary QTS (or working towards)
• A commitment to continuous professional development
