We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and determined Physicist with a passion for their subject and the ability to enthuse and engage students and the dedication, commitment and strategies to raise attainment at both Key Stages 4 and 5.

Ashby School is a thriving, successful and over-subscribed 14-19 Academy with 1,700 students on roll including 600 post-16. Conveniently located close to the M42 and M1, within easy reach of several areas of outstanding natural beauty and with the national forest on the doorstep, the school is set in its own attractive grounds in the expanding market town of Ashby-de-la-Zouch, Leicestershire.

The post offers an exceptional opportunity for either an experienced practitioner, with a proven record of academic success looking for a new challenge, or an individual who is new to the profession seeking an opportunity in a leading Academy focused on ensuring that all students achieve or exceed their potential.

We offer an excellent Continued Professional Development programme within a supportive environment and are committed to continuous improvement in both teaching and learning.

Lessons in our Science Department are delivered in a suite of well-resourced, purpose built, laboratories fully equipped with state of the art sound systems, data projectors, interactive white boards, Apple TVs and internet access. We also have access to a state of the art interactive 3-D learning hub, enhancing understanding and promoting creativity in learning.
