Teacher of Physics job summary

From January 2021 we are seeking to appoint a Teacher of Physics to join this successful and oversubscribed 11-18 school.

In 2019, we were ranked in the top 10% in the country for both combined sciences and all three separate sciences; more than 180 students are currently building on their Key Stage 4 success by following an A level science course, including 50 studying physics.

The experienced science team consists of 13 teachers and 4 laboratory technicians; students follow our own schemes of work, and engage with numerous extra-curricular activities offered by the department.

The science department is extremely well resourced, with well-equipped laboratories, IT facilities and experimental apparatus. We require someone who can inspire, motivate and challenge all students; both in and out of the classroom. We have strong links with local industry with whom our students have recently visited both the bottom of the deepest lake in England and the very edge of space.
