TEACHER OF PHYSICS Hours of Work: Full time, 36.5 hours per week Salary: Dependent on experience and extra responsibilities Closing date: 11:59pm 20th June 2021 The Trustees of Northern Schools Trust wish to appoint a Teacher of Physics working across two co-located specialist schools within the Trust, Liverpool Life Sciences UTC and the Studio School, Liverpool. We are looking for a talented Physics teacher who is comfortable teaching across both KS4 and KS5. This opportunity would suit a dynamic individual who has successfully completed their induction period relishes teaching their subject and is ready to stretch their skills and contribute to an innovative and high performing department. The department supports a shared provision across the two specialist schools. Courses currently taught are: At Key Stage 4 • GCSE Physics • Cambridge Engineering • Combined Science At Key Stage 5 • A-level Physics • Engineering There are currently twelve specialist science teachers in the curriculum team with two physics specialists. There are consistently large numbers of students studying our KS 5 provision. The Engineering provision is also supported by members of the mathematics and computer science curriculum teams. The department is well resourced both with regards to teaching expertise and physical resources to support learning. It has become the bedrock of the successful provision at KS 4 with the separates provision being taught by discipline specialists across both schools developing effective learning routines and structures that have enabled it to secure excellent outcomes for all students. The team has further developed during the last academic year leading the way in developing remote and blended learning. .
