Teacher of Physics job summary

One of the country’s leading academic schools, Queen Elizabeth’s Barnet blends a distinctive heritage and proud traditions with an innovative, forward-looking approach to providing a state education like no other to 1300 boys aged 11-18.

We wish to appoint an outstanding physicist who is confident to work with very able, motivated and enthusiastic students.

The Physics department enjoys a national reputation for excellence and achieves exceptional outcomes in public examinations. Physics is taught as a separate science from the start of Year 8 and large numbers of the School’s students progress from A-level to Physics and related courses, such as Engineering, at leading universities. The successful applicant will have a strong academic background and will demonstrate that he or she has an understanding of how to inspire very able boys within and beyond the classroom.

Applications are welcome from experienced teachers, ECTs and those without a formal teaching qualification. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
