Ulverston Victoria High School is a happy and thriving 11-18 school and sixth form and is at the heart of the community in the picturesque South Lakeland market town of Ulverston.

The Governing Body is seeking to appoint, with effect from 1st September 2020, an outstanding and motivated teacher of Physics. The successful candidate will have an essential ability to teach Physics at Key Stages 3, 4 and 5.
We welcome applications from professional, effective and motivated NQTs and experienced teachers, who are keen to join our high performing team at Ulverston Victoria High School. A full and appropriate induction programme is available for all NQTs.

GCSE science results for progress have consistently been in the top 20% of the country across both combined science and separate science. A-level numbers are healthy and physics is a very popular choice with five groups in the sixth form. During the 2018 Ofsted inspection, the inspectors took time to note in their report that ’students make exceptional progress in science’.

Proven record of excellent classroom practice
