Teacher of PSHCE job summary
We are seeking applications from candidates who possess excellent knowledge and understanding of PSHCE. The successful candidate will join a well-established PSHCE department, with the needs of our pupils at the heart of our curriculum. You must possess the skills and determination to make a significant difference to the lives of our students and share our single goal of ‘students first’.
The successful candidate will be an excellent practitioner and will possess enthusiasm and passion for teaching and learning PSHCE. The candidate will also understand the challenges and opportunities that young people face growing up in modern Britain and will recognise how PSHCE education can help pupils to stay healthy and safe and prepare them for future employability. The ability to teach GCSE Citizenship would be advantage but is not essential criteria for the role.
A degree in a subject linked to PSHCE, Social Science or equivalent would be preferable and you would be expected to teach across all key stages. You should be willing to be fully involved in the work of the department and the life of the School.
