About The Role:

Owing to the continued growth of our school, Hayle Academy is seeking to appoint a part time (0.5FTE) Teacher of Global Values (RE, PSHE & RSE) to join our talented staff team on a fixed term basis for a year (in the first instance).

Within Global Values, students study a wide range of concepts which help to develop students into well rounded individuals who are ready for life in the 21st century. The successful candidate will deliver Global Values lessons across both KS3 and KS4. Our responsive and cohesive curriculum facilitates an interwoven delivery of:

  • Spiritual, Moral, Social and Cultural Development
  • British Values
  • Citizenship
  • Religious Education
  • Personal, Social, Health and Economic Education
  • Relationships and Sexual Education
  • Careers (as part of the wider CIAEG program)

This is an exciting time at Hayle Academy as we work collaboratively to embed our digital transformation strategy, giving teachers and students the very best digital tools available to enhance teaching and learning.

About You:

The successful candidate will deliver Global Values lessons across both KS3 and KS4, will be a motivated and positive team player with a determination to ensure all students succeed, regardless of barriers. They will win hearts and minds, and inspire, enthuse and motivate staff and students alike.

As part of this role, there may be an element of general teaching required, which would require the flexibility to work across a range of subjects in our 11-16 Academy. Like all our teachers, you will be required to inspire children to love learning through engaging teaching, effective use of resources and positive behaviour management.

Teaching and Learning is at the heart of our school; the successful applicant will need to have a passion to continue to develop this aspect in their own practice and share within their team.
