What skills and experience we're looking for
We are seeking to appoint a dynamic and talented practitioner with strong classroom management abilities to join the outstanding Social Sciences faculty. This already strong department consisting of Psychology, Sociology and Health and Social Care is looking to expand the curriculum to include Criminology in the forthcoming years.
Applicants should be able to teach Psychology at KS4 and KS5 and preferably Criminology or Health and Social Care, have a passion for teaching and learning and the skills to engage, inspire and motivate our students within lessons. Through their love of their subject and a sound and detailed knowledge of their specialist subjects, they will plan and execute a diverse programme to meet the needs of the individual learner.
We welcome applications from ECTs and we run a highly supportive and successful Early Career Framework programme, or from recently qualified teachers.
For the right candidate, there may be an opportunity to join our pastoral team as a teaching Head of Year. The role will involve building upon the excellent pastoral systems in place and supporting the academic and personal development of students within a year group. The role attracts a TLR 2b - £5,091.
