What skills and experience we're looking for

We are seeking an enthusiastic and innovative teacher who has the ability to teach Psychology up to A Level and work collaboratively within the popular Social Sciences department. There are also opportunities to develop into the wider leadership of the Social Sciences department for the right candidate.

The Social Science department contains a wealth of subject specialists and is a passionate, respected and supportive department. The Social Science department is a growing department and contains a real variety of subjects which are popular throughout our students’ education (Psychology, Religious Studies, PSHE, Sociology, Health and Social Care, Criminology and Citizenship) and Psychology is offered both at GCSE and A Level with enthusiastic uptake in both key stages (AQA).

We are looking to appoint someone who is confident that they can deliver high quality lessons. The successful candidate will be able to feed into the wider character of our department.

Our students follow an academic core curriculum throughout Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4. This includes the study of History, Geography and a Language as well as English, Maths and Science. But our students also have the opportunity to do a range of practical and vocational subjects including a wide range of creative and performing arts, physical education and other humanities like Business studies, Psychology and Economics.
