What skills and experience we're looking for

This post, from September 2023, presents an opportunity to join a successful department and school proud of its innovative culture and professional development opportunities. Applications are welcome from candidates who can help us achieve our vision that Everyone Succeeds at DHSB.

We will welcome applications from newly qualified teachers or more experienced teachers who are seeking an opportunity to develop their teaching skills further. This permanent post has the potential flexibility to be part time or full time, and an indication of your ability to teach subjects in addition to Psychology would be appreciated.

What the school offers its staff

Psychology at DHSB has gone from strength-to-strength, with popularity increasing. The subject’s profile within the school means that it attracts a large number of high ability students who thrive when challenged. We currently have two A level classes in Year 12 and Year 13 with students being taught for five hours each week.

A significant proportion of students go on to study psychology-related degrees at university.

For an informal discussion with Dan Roberts, Headteacher, contact Sarah Nicholson, Head’s PA, at sarah.nicholson@dhsb.org.
