Teacher of Psychology job summary
We are seeking a Teacher of Psychology to join us on a temporary basis to cover maternity.
You will be highly qualified and able to support the promotion of excellent standards of student learning, achievement, progress, attainments and behaviour through working effectively and collaboratively. You will be passionate about your specialist subject and positively seek to influence your field and the Academy.
The Social Studies Faculty offers a wide range of subjects delivered by a large team of specialist teachers. Subjects offered include PSHE at Key Stages Three and Four; at GCSE, Psychology, Sociology, Child Development and Business are taught; at post-16 A levels and Cambridge Nationals are available in Psychology, Sociology, Law, Business, Politics and Health & Social Care.
The team of teachers are supportive of each other and the students. Many students choose multiple subjects in the Faculty, and a large number go on to study these subjects at university or to work in the field. As a result, teachers within Social Studies are expected to teach more than one subject, and a willingness to do so is desirable. All members of the team are valued for their skills, whatever the stage of their careers, and are encouraged to contribute to the development of the Faculty.
If you are ready to inspire our students and have a love of Psychology, we would be interested in hearing from you with the possibility of you joining us in the next phase of development in our Academy.
