Starting: September 2020
Sir Isaac Newton Sixth Form is a highly successful maths and science specialist sixth form for students aged 16 -19, that lies in the heart of Norwich. The school has been judged by OFSTED as outstanding in all areas. Sir Isaac Newton Sixth Form is a community school with a great staff body. Staff satisfaction and retention is exceptionally high. Owing to the increase in pupil numbers, we are recruiting a teacher of physics.
Our aim is to provide an exceptional, high quality education that ensures the best outcomes for our young people. We are seeking to appoint an outstanding physics teacher to join our team. The physics department is very successful and we are looking for a candidate with great subject knowledge who is highly reflective of their practice.
You must be confident in delivering A level physics and creating a positive environment whilst also contributing to the wider school community. If you are an excellent classroom practitioner, who is flexible, highly committed and passionate about delivering the best possible learning experiences, then we want to hear from you.
We offer opportunities to take leadership of a whole school project alongside your teaching role, support with the NPQSM or other agreed leadership training, and associate membership of the middle leadership team as a professional development opportunity, where appropriate.
We regularly review our practices to ensure that teachers can concentrate on teaching and students learning. This includes a rigorous behaviour policy where every member of the school community takes responsibility for their actions.
We are part of the Inspiration Trust, ranked second in the country’s top sixth form schools group for KS5 progress, and strongly believe in the importance of giving the widest educational opportunities to all young people, regardless of their background. We have strong teaching networks across the Trust, with opportunities to work with a diverse range of schools and partners.
Visits to the school are warmly encouraged; please contact Kerry DeRazza, PA to the principal, on 01603 280940 email kerryderazza@inspirationtrust.org
