This is a very exciting time to join our RE & Social Sciences department, which sits at the heart of our values driven college. RE is a core subject, with all students studying full course GCSE. It is a highly regarded and very successful subject. If appointed, you would join a team of specialist teachers who are all passionate about the importance of RE and Citizenship, and fully committed to ensuring students leave with the best possible outcomes whilst engaging with and enjoying their learning. The successful candidate will teach GSCE RE and / or GCSE Citizenship.

At Horizon, a RE / Citizenship teacher must be someone with a fierce love of their subject, who is talented, motivated and can inspire students to achieve their full potential. Working with such a big team of specialist teachers will be a particular benefit for staff that are new to the profession, something which can be unusual in the current educational climate. As part of this dynamic and successful team, you must be driven to achieve the highest standards and possess the creativity to maximise the use of our state-of-the-art resources and facilities.
