What skills and experience we're looking for

Kepier is an exciting place to teach. Our staff are friendly, supportive and dedicated. We follow an inspirational curriculum which helps to prepare our young people fully for the challenges of adult life.

You will be a highly motivated and enthusiastic colleague who is keen to make a difference. Your role will be instrumental in delivering the Kepier vision of highly engaging, interactive and challenging learning experiences for our learners in RE. The successful candidate will teach within a forward thinking team and will be required, in the main, to teach RE but may also be required to teach PSHCE, Citizenship and RSE. They will also have to report on the quality of standards, attainment and learner progress. It is worth noting that the ability to teach an additional subject is desirable.

Applications are welcomed from both ECTs and experienced teachers. Kepier is a dynamic Academy, firmly committed to staff development and has a highly regarded and supportive induction programme for ECTs.

The school is fully committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share in this commitment. As part of our due diligence and to comply with our obligations in line with Keeping Children Safe in Education, an online search of publicly available information will be undertaken for all shortlisted candidates. All School posts are exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and therefore applicants will be subject to appropriate background checks and vetting including an enhanced DBS check and checks against the children’s barred list. Application form, job description and person specification are available online at www.kepier.com. Application forms only (please do not attach additional letters or statements) should be returned to recruitment@kepier.com no later than 12 pm noon on Wednesday 8th May 2024. Interviews are expected to take place the following week.

We fully appreciate the time and effort required in completing an application and, whatever the outcome of this particular process, we are grateful for your interest in working at Kepier and wish you every success with your future career. Applicants who have not been contacted within 2 weeks of the closing date should assume they have been unsuccessful.
