Teacher of Religion, Philosophy and Ethics job summary
As a popular and successful school, we are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, hardworking teacher to contribute to the further success of our school and to join our excellent faculty with a supportive Head of Department.
You will be required to:
● To ensure that all groups of students make outstanding progress
● To develop or contribute to the range of activities and support for all students
Due to the significant growth of the Religion, Philosophy and Ethics (RPE) curriculum, we are looking to appoint an inspiring teacher to join our excellent Humanities Team. The post will involve the teaching of RPE predominantly to Key Stage 3 and 4. There may also be the opportunity to teach A Level Religious Studies. This subject has a record of outstanding outcomes at KS4 and KS5, therefore we are looking to employ a highly qualified teacher with a record of delivering high quality lessons with excellent student outcomes.
In September 2015 the school moved into an amazing new building. RPE is a key component of the Humanities curriculum and is taught in suited rooms across one floor by a fantastic, supportive and experienced team. Standards are high with high levels of student motivation and excellent attitudes to learning and the post offers an outstanding opportunity to colleagues at any stage in their career.
Many of our staff work flexibly in different ways including part-time working. For this role we are open to discussing the possibility of reduced hours of flexible start and end times. Please talk to us at the interview stage about the flexibility you would like and we will explore what’s possible for this role. Flexible working will be considered.
