Teacher of Religious Studies - 12 months maternity cover job summary
Haybridge is a school described by Ofsted as “providing an outstanding standard of education”, with an ethos which is “a very successful mix of innovation and traditional values, personalisation and collaboration, open enjoyment and high achievement.”
We are seeking a motivated, committed and inspiring teacher of Religious Studies. The successful candidate may also be required to teach a small amount of Personal Development (PSHE and Citizenship); previous experience teaching the aforementioned topics would be desirable but not essential.
We welcome applications from teachers who are passionate about teaching Religious Studies to at least GCSE level in an engaging and enthusiastic manner. Our students are extremely interested in Religious Studies. We seek a teacher who will capture and further the students’ enjoyment whilst thoroughly preparing them for their future and of course, their GCSE in Religious Studies.
We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. The successful candidate will be required to undertake an Enhanced Disclosure via the Disclosure and Barring Service.
Further information and an application form are available on the school website. The completed form should be emailed or posted to the school by 10.00am on Monday 18th November.

Haybridge High School & Sixth Form is an 11 – 18 comprehensive school and a founding partner of The Four Stones Multi Academy Trust. The school is situated in the north of Worcestershire and serves a community of five villages. Annually oversubscribed, Haybridge High School & Sixth Form has maintained an ‘outstanding’ Ofsted judgement since its first inspection in 1996.
At its simplest, the school’s mission statement remains the same each year and that is to work to achieve the best possible outcomes for all our students thereby ensuring the best life chances for everybody in our care. The school prides itself on adding value to all its students and in 2018 saw a Progress 8 score at GCSE of +0.73 with 70% of the cohort achieving a grade 5 or higher in English & Mathematics
This pride in the examination performance of our students is underpinned by a belief that ‘an education’ is more than just a set of qualifications but is an experience which allows young people to enhance their natural talents, gifts and abilities. We strive to ensure that all our students are supported to be the articulate, tolerant, resilient and caring young people who will go into the world beyond Haybridge as lifelong learners capable of achieving great things and making a difference.
The school became a National Support School (and the Headteacher Caroline Hoddinott a National Leader in Education) and a Teaching School in 2011, an Academy in 2012, a SCITT (School Centred Teacher Training) in 2015 and in partnership with King Charles I School in Kidderminster, a MAT in 2018.
